Oak Farm Roborovskis For Sale
PLEASE READ THIS PAGE IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT PURCHASING ANY ROBOROVSKIS FROM ME.
I will only sell my Roborovskis As Pets to kind and loving forever homes, as I do not believe in adding to the many unwanted hamsters which are already looking for new owners in pet rescues and animal shelters! All of my hamsters are sold on the agreement that if the new owner can no longer keep them for any reason, I will gladly take them back and either keep them myself or find them a new loving home.
All of my babies are sold with a specially written Roborovski Care Sheet and a complete Birth Certificate with family tree. They also come with a complete list of foods which can and cannot be fed, together with information about the food I use for my adults and for weaning the babies. I also include a week’s supply of food which can be used to change over the food supply if required.
I am a member of the "Midland Hamster Club" and i can give you all of the information you need before you buy your new hamster to make sure a hamster is defiantely the pet for you and to make sure you get the species which is most suitable for your family. Please feel free to send me an email with any questions at all!
I also give aftersales advice for as long as you need it - i am just at the end of the phone whenever you need me!
All of the Roborovski babies I breed are very happy and healthy babies who have been handled since they have been ten days old.
They have all come from very healthy parents and grandparents who are not related in any way. I do not believe in mating hamsters which are closely related as this can cause undesirable traits such as bad tempers, inability to tame, inability to live happily in pairs or groups etc.
Roborovskis are one of the most social species of hamster and they usually do best when they have company, so my Roborovskis are usually available in same sex pairs or small, same sex groups, but all Roborovski hamsters have different personalities and, although they are usually very social, a rare few do sometimes prefer to live on their own, so I do sometimes have the odd Roborovski who needs to be rehomed separately.
Roborovskis are the fastest and smallest species of hamster and because of this they tend not to get as tame as the other dwarf species and definitely not as tame as Syrians. They can be tamed, although it may take longer than to tame a Syrian, but they do tend to bond more with their cage mates instead of their human owners. Roborovskis are sometimes hamsters which are best kept as pets to look at rather than to handle, as they are very entertaining to watch.
Even though Roborovskis are the smallest species of hamster it does not mean they need a small cage! They love to run around and they need plenty of space, so the bigger the cage the better. They sometimes have difficulty using tubes, so they do better with only one level. The best home for Roborovskis is a large, glass tank / aquarium.
Please see the "Current Litters" page for available hamsters, or just send me an email and i will get back to you straight away. |
